Paly's girls' water polo teams played went a combined 5-3 in the Arroyo Grande JV and St. Francis Varsity Invitationals last weekend. Varsity finished 10th of 16 teams with victories of Archbishop Mitty (8-7) and Homestead (9-4) sandwiched between a loss to tournament champs Sacred Heart Prep in the first round and Righetti in the consolation bracket championship.
The JV squad ran off three dominant performances against Arroyo Grande Novice (17-0), Morro Bay (12-2) and Righetti (12-2) before meeting their match vs. Arroyo Grande in the finals for a 2nd place finish.
Paly polo begins its quest for SCVAL glory vs. Homestead at the Paly pool this Thursday, starting at 330P for Varsity and 445P for JV with the defending CCS D1 championship boys' teams finishing off a quad afternoon at 545P for Frosh/Soph and 645P.
